Florian Wilkes is resident organist at St Hedwig's Cathedral, Berlin, and also gives concerts at both the national and international level (recitals).

He studied at the Cathedral of Bamberg and at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin, now called UdK. His first post, at the age of seventeen, was at the Paulus Church in Schwerte/Ruhr. Several times he has won prizes in the “Youth makes music” competition. He was a scholarship holder of the Gotthard Schierse-foundation and has received support from the Land Berlin, the Deutsche Musikrat, various Goethe-Institutes, etc. (vita).
