After studying at the Universities of Bonn, Bamberg, Bayreuth and Berlin, Florian Wilkes was able to successfully complete a law degree (with two state exams) as well as a degree in church music (A- diploma).

 

He was only 17 when he was appointed organist to the Protestant Paulus Church. While studying music he was a church musician in the parish of St Joseph in Tegel (Berlin). During this occupation he dedicated himself intensively to choral music.  Great oratorios and choral Works were performed in Germany as well as abroad. In 1994 he was appointed resident organist to the Cathedral St Hedwig in Berlin.

 

To the present day the following musical activities determine his daily life:

 

 

At the same time Florian Wilkes is also a practicing lawyer. In his office, for instance, he trains junior lawyers and interns. He gained his doctorate with a thesis on the new American philosophy of law. In 2008 an encompassing legal paper was published by the renowned C.H. Beck - publishers.
